Corel Photo Album 7 Deluxe Edition photo management software is one of our favorites for its breadth of features and usability. It's an easy-to-use program for editing, sharing and creating slide shows and photo projects including scrapbooks, collages and calendars.
Features
Editing: Photo Album 7 has powerful, easy-to-use editing tools including a one-click Quick Fix for color and contrast, red-eye removal, image rotation, cropping and resizing, and special tools to remove blemishes, paint on a suntan and whiten teeth.
Enhance images with borders, frames, convert to black & white or sepia, and create custom panoramas. Download, view and share video clips, cut the unwanted portions of your video clip, save individual video frames as still pictures and turn video clips into music videos.
Creative Projects:
There are hundreds of professionally designed templates for making scrapbooks, collages, calendars, greeting cards, magazine covers and more. You can turn photos and video clips into a slide show with music.

Photo Organizer
Organizing and sorting your photos is simple. Search functions include finding photos by text in captions, tags or filenames, sorting by date, file, name or rating. Rate images and tag them with keywords or mark specific images with a gold star to find them quickly later. You can also add comments to images.
SHARING Print photos right from the program using the Quick Print feature, share images and video by email, save on CDs or DVDs or order prints and share them online with family and friends.
Automatic Online Photo Backup
Protect your photos from hard drive crashes with Sharpcast, an online service offering automatic photo protection and backup. You can store as many photos as you want, for as long as you want, although after 30 days the stored images are automatically resized to a maximum of 1600 x 1200 pixels (suitable for a 4 x 6 print). If you wish to store your images permanently at full resolution you will need to subscribe to a Sharpcast premium plan.
EASE OF USE
Corel Paint Shop Album is quite easy to use. Just click on an icon to select your task, such as "Import," "Browse," "Enhance," or "Create" and then theProject Launcher guides you through the steps. The screen looks great and the program is easy to navigate. There is a comprehensive "help" section and Corel's website features tutorials in PDF format.
Should You Buy It?
Corel Photo Album 7 Deluxe Edition is a great stand-alone photo organizer and it's excellent value for the money. It is useful complement to Corel's highly rated Paint Shop Pro. While its editing tools are not nearly as comprehensive as Corel Paint Shop Pro, users seeking quick fixes and basic editing will find Photo Album quite capable. If you are seeking robust editing features, we recommend Corel Paint Shop Pro. for a combination of easy-to-use photo and video editing, organizing and sharing features, check out the new Corel Digital Studio 2010.
