Roxio PhotoShow is fun and easy-to-use software for creating photo slide shows of your digital photos and videos.
The basic software is free to use on line. There is also a paid premium member subscription that gives you a much wider selection of music, transition styles, animations, stickers and special effects. With the free version you have about six options in each category; the paid version (about $39 per year) gives you hundreds of choices.

Roxio gives you a free web site for a year and each family member can create their own “channel” to use for sharing their own slideshows. Users can also embed their slideshow in Facebook or Blogger and take it along on an iPod.
Roxio PhotoShow Free Version or Premium Service ?
With the free basic version, your slide show only stays online for 30 days and you're limited to 12 images per show. With the paid version you can include up to 400 images and it will stay on line as long as you remain a premium member. As a member you'll also be able to download the software so you can create photo shows offline. The subscription membership gives you lots more feature; what it comes down to is whether you want to have more creative options and have permanent online access to your slideshows or you only want to make a small slideshow now and then.
Pros: Easy to install, straightforward interface is powerful yet easy and fun to use. You can build and share photo shows in minutes. Cons: There is no photo editing capability, so you need to edit your images in another program prior to importing them into Roxio PhotoShow.
